Tales of a Young Male Hominid
Time, it moved so fast, those days are over now
We've all gone our separate ways but still somehow
I often need to telephone and talk to you
To see if you remember things the way I do
It won't be too much longer till we'll be old and gray
Winding up our travels here on life's highway
But no matter where I roam I've got you here with me
When I reminisce these

Don't get the wrong idea and think these Tales have played through my head over and over again on an endless loop for all these years gone by. Not so. Oh, maybe some of them have always been not too far below the surface. But most of them are here now only by slowly condensing out of the fog of my distant memory. One memory tends to beget another and pretty soon, by golly, there is a whole story in my working consciousness. |
