No Money In The House
![]()
We live in suburbia in a home made of brick
With two cars, meeting payments is quite a trick
No money in the house!
Hubby asks when bills have depleted our cash
For several bucks for a calabash
No money in the house!
Where does it go? And I haste to explain
The dentist got all when he saved me from pain
No money in the house!
The children three and you and me
Had our smiles fixed up so prettily
No money in the house!
Our seven year old climbed into a tree
He fell, broke a toe and that cost a fee
No money in the house!
Our pretty young miss longs for clothes that are fair
Lamenting she wears the same things everywhere
No money in the house!
A party was held and our friends ate our food
And left in a wonderfully satisfied mood
No money in the house!
An empty gas tank's always showing
Everywhere our older son is going
No money in the house!
There is always something someone needs,
Bread or shoes or a string of beads
No money in the House!
The breadwinner must work each day
So we can spend in just this way
No money in the house!
Since his demands are very few
I ask him if a buck will do
No money in the house!
I scrounge around until I find
A cache of change of any kind
No money in the house!
We daily thank God for His care
And with His help to heed our prayer
Who needs money in the house?
