Guru Lane Samples

Just north of the small town of Gerlach, Nevada is a work of art by a fellow known as "Dooby". Dooby’s project consists of a rather extensive set of social comments, philosophical statements, and personal salutes to local inhabitants, all inscribed neatly onto a series of rocks placed along a dirt road adjacent to The Black Rock Desert. The high desert setting together with the remoteness and solitude of the location provide a perfect canvas for Dooby’s work.
Someone ought to create an extensive web site of this work. But in the meantime, here is just a small sampling of the inscribed rocks:
