Astrophotography

These are my first attempts at astrophotography through a telescope. Taken during Thanksgiving weekend 2000 at Big Bend National Park in western Texas. All are on Fujicolor Super HG 1600 film, the same film I used for the comet photos. They are all at f10 prime focus of a Meade 8-inch LX-50, using an off-axis guider with a 9mm recticle eyepiece.

Also in Orion. Actually, I'm not sure if this is the proper designation. It's the flame-like nebula next to the left hand star in Orion's belt, near the Horsehead Nebula.
